Children's Programs
Child and Family Resources encourages learning through discovery and hands-on activities. We have been providing children with a positive start in education for many years. The children will:
- socialize with each other
- develop problem solving skills
- learn through play
- experience art, music, science, and literature

Geneva Area Programs
Open Play Hours
Wednesdays, 3:30 - 5:00pm
Age appropriate activities, child friendly environment, open to any parent or caregiver. Activity ideas and creative materials to use with your children. No fee.
Mothers Morning Out
Monday - Friday, 9:00 - 11:30am
Do you need to go grocery shopping, run errands, or just need some "ME" time? Age appropriate, safe, fun activities and a light snack provided for your child, 1 1/2 to 5 years olds. Fee based and registration helpful, however not required.
Kiddie Kamp
Monday - Thursdays, 9am - 12pm
Come learn and play at Kiddie Camp. Explore these exciting topics: "On the Farm, Community Helpers, Arrrr Pirates, Jungle Fun, My Senses, and Ocean Life". For 3 to 5 year olds. Session 1 - July 12 - July 29, 2010, registration deadline June 30, 2010. Session 2 - August 9 - August 26, 2010, registration deadline July 23, 2010. Fee based and registration required.
Parent Helper Course
Participants are youth 10-14 years of age. Program will provide skills needed to effectively care for young children by providing knowledge in safety issues, baby care, and age appropriate activities for children. Certification will be awarded at completion of the course. Fee based and requires registration.
Geneva School District Universal Pre-Kindergarten
Child and Family Resources provides coordination services for the Geneva City School District Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) program. UPK is a state funded program for four year old children. To be eligible for UPK, your child must be 4 years old by December 1 of the enrollment year. The child cannot turn 5 prior to December 1, of the enrollment year. You must live in the Geneva City School District. Transportation is not provided. Classes are part-day, five days per week and follow the School District's vacation calendar. The program will be provided at various community sites. Spaces are limited and will be filled by a lottery system. To apply for the UPK program, you will need to complete an application. Penn Yan Area Programs
First Steps
Monday & Wednesdays, 9:00 - 11:30am, 3 - 4 year olds
A program designed with the three-year-old in mind. This program encourages learning through art, play, music, physical development and story time. Fee based and requires registration.
Time for Twos
Fridays, 9:30 - 11:00am
An interactive playgroup for two-year-olds that includes socialization and incorporates music, art, motor development, story time and singing. Fee based and requires registration.
Together Time
Tuesdays, 9:30 - 11:00am
A parent and child or provider and child play group that offers music, activities and art for adults and children.TOGETHER! No fee, registration helpful, however not required.
